Upcoming class at Lost Pines Art Center

Van Gogh, Dreams of Japan

1-4:00pm; ($40, supplies provided)

Many of us are familiar with Van Gogh’s iconic paintings, but some may not know how much he was influenced by Japanese art. After seeing several Japanese works in Paris and other areas of Europe, he modernized his style with bright colors, 2 dimensional figures, and symbolic portrayals of the world. Instructor Bobbi Boyd is back for another Art Getaway class, and will show you Japanese art through Van Gogh’s eyes. Each student will complete a simple image in watercolor, in the style of Van Gogh.

This is an all level art class, with no art experience required. All supplies are provided, ages 16 and up are welcome.

Simple theme. Theme images by gaffera. Powered by Blogger.
